What you are actually putting on your eye
A coloured lens is not a printed disc. It is a layered structure, and the order of those layers is the whole point.

Rounded edge
Tapered to a fine profile so the eyelid glides across it instead of catching on it. This is the single biggest factor in whether a lens is comfortable at hour eight.

Oxygen-permeable body
The lens material lets oxygen pass through to the cornea. An eye that breathes stays white, clear and comfortable.

Hydrated core
Water held inside the matrix keeps the lens soft and the surface wet, so it moves with the eye rather than dragging against it.

Pigment sealed within
The colour is locked between two clear layers. It never touches your cornea and it cannot rub off — which is exactly what separates a safe coloured lens from a cheap one.
Italian lenses, for eyes that are looked at closely
Elora began with a simple frustration: the coloured lenses available locally were either safe and dull, or striking and badly made.
Elora was built on the opposite assumption. A lens sits on the most sensitive surface of the body for fourteen hours a day. It should be specified like a medical device and finished like a piece of jewellery, and there is no good reason those two things should be in tension. That is why every Elora product is made in Italy.
